The North Brookfield Fire Department proudly serves the firematic needs of the hamlet of North Brookfield, NY.  Our ranks are comprised entirely of volunteer firefighters, who sacrifice their energy, time and personal safety to protect the lives and property of our community.

Engine 282

"Wetdown"

Considered the equivalent of a christening of a newly commissioned ship or that of a baptism, the fire service celebrates the arrival of a new fire truck with a "wetdown".

Neighboring departments are invited to bring an engine and spray down the new truck. This tradition has been lost in Madison county for many years, but we hope that we have sparked a new era of community spirit and support of neighboring communities.

Many thanks! to the following departments whom showed their support for the North Brookfield Fire Deparment:

Brookfield

Cazenovia

De Ruyter

Earlville

Erieville
Leonardsville
